V.O.T.E. (Value, Order, Trust, Evaluate)

People waiting for the polls to open in Valrico, Florida

BIG DAY: It’s a big day today. Heavy schedule. Lots going on. Plus an election.

Consequently, I have no time to write so I’ll simply post this possibly helpful acronym, “V.O.T.E.

  • V – Value freedom enough to make the effort to participate via casting your ballot. I can’t stress enough how important this is.
  • O – Order your thoughts so that you can see through the game-playing and have the courage to make your own choice – rather than follow some spoon-fed party-line.
  • T – Trust in the process. We have this amazing Constitution, with all kinds of checks and balances in play. So trust in the process and then commit to working together, because we all celebrate the same liberty.
  • E – Evaluate your life and then determine to do something about it. Neither the Republicans nor the Democrats can fix what’s fundamentally broken in this world. But we can achieve miracles if we work together, in faith and trust and belief.
Just vote already!

BOTTOM LINE: The bottom line here is to live forward from this point, and not to wait for some politician to come through on one more lame promise. The best thing we can do today is to vote… and then live the freedom we say we believe in. No matter who wins, the more of us who choose to participate the more compelling the message will be that we care and we mean to take care of business.

That’s all. Just join me by participating – DEREK

But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve… But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.- Joshua 24
