Tuesday afternoon, needing a walk to clear my head for writing, I took my Nikon D3100 on a walking tour of Wake Forest’s historic North Main Street.
We’ve lived in this amazingly beautiful community almost 15-months now, and I’ve taken many scenic drives to see the dogwoods, the azaleas, the fall colors, and the architecture. But this is the first time I have invested the time in a leisurely stroll on the mile-long loop.
So I parked on one of the side streets and grabbed a few photographs. Then I took a few more. Then I pretty-much couldn’t stop.
I had showed up simply intending to capture an improved version of the iPhone street scene I had used for one of the “Four Photo Monday” images a couple of days ago in Monday’s post: five-minutes max; leave the engine running; in and out.
But then I opened my eyes. Sometimes we have to be still and simply open our eyes. Consequently, there are over 40 images in today’s slide collection.
“How can you take 40 photographs of one row of trees?” you ask… Well, check it out! You certainly don’t have to take a look at every one – but you’re going to be missing a treat if you don’t!
So I’ll let today’s photographs speak for themselves, and I’ll conclude my Wednesday post with this: I love this community more every day! And I am so grateful that God called us to this place.
