Yesterday we almost set a 24-hour record with over 2,000 hits on this page. Evidently “Appalachian Mountains in fall color” is something a lot of people enjoy. My prayer is that this blog’s message of hope, promise, and reconciliation with God will also settle, winsomely, in the hearts of all those who stop by to take a look at the images.

MISDIRECTION: Like I said, my work is all about the message of hope, promise, and reconciliation. However, a couple of days ago someone tried to use my Facebook post – featuring beautiful photographs – to attach a slanted religious tract. It was kind of like waiting in the parking lot outside a church where the Gospel is shared openly and invitingly, then handing out fear-based literature: “If you don’t follow our narrow doctrine you’re going straight to hell!”
I have no time for such misdirection when it comes to the love of God.
Jesus said – “Come to me, all you that are weary and are carrying heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me; for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” – Matthew 11:28-30
This blog is all about God’s invitation to relationship through Jesus. I sincerely believe these photographs and words help to facilitate the introduction. We’ll leave the judging to God.
Enjoy the photos… and please consider the invitation

Frame worthy! Beautiful pictures and what looks like an incredible vacation. Thanks for sharing these – and most importantly – the Word!
