It’s well after midnight, but I’d like to briefly check in from Camp NuHop in Ohio.

I’m here for a weekend retreat, with a small group of men from First Presbyterian Church in Delaware. The topic is “The Adventure of Being a Disciple,” and my task is to invite the guys to seek God and to respond affirmatively to whatever invitation Jesus presents.

My prayer is that God will guide our conversation, and speak clearly into all of our lives, so we will leave this place with hearts full and aching to serve, with a sense of purpose regarding what is next, and a deep confidence that God is with us.

So that’s it. Watch this space for more tomorrow! I have to go over the morning session again before I get some sleep. It’s always a thrill to be invited to walk a few steps with other men on their journey.
