A hint of fall color, and “September in 30 photographs”

– the first hints of fall in Wake Forest

Isaiah 40:30-31

Even youths grow tired and weary,
    and young men stumble and fall;
 but those who hope in the Lord
    will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
    they will run and not grow weary,
    they will walk and not be faint.

Let’s check one more month off the 2020 calendar. It feels good, doesn’t it, to rip another piece of this momentously crummy year from the wall and consign it to the past? Twenty-twenty has become another way to say “Murphy’s Law.”

I can see it now, sometime in the future, after someone has a series of things go wrong in spectacular fashion. “That went a bit deeper than Murphy’s Law, mate, you’ve got a real 2020 going on…”

Today, however, I am here to save us from all that! Please take a moment to relax, scroll through the images below, and enjoy “September in 30 (maybe 31) photos.”

Looking forward to an amazing October, powered by light and defined by promise! – DEREK
