A video invitation to Maul-Hall – Derek tells a story from the living room

I love to tell the story, for those who know it best
Seem hungering and thirsting to hear it like the rest;
And when in scenes of glory I sing the new, new song,
’Twill be the old, old story that I have loved so long.

(Arabella Hankey, 1866)

Typically, video is not my best fit (you can tell by how many YouTube subscribers I don’t have!). Film is more Rebekah’s thing: she’s an on-screen natural, she looks amazing, and she has great camera presence – plus she has that whole preacher vibe going on.

Once in a while, however, I will jump on YouTube for a couple of minutes. Today is one of those days. I’d like to invite you into our home as virtual guests, to get a feel for Maul-Hall at Christmas, and to share one of my favorite holiday stories.

Enjoy. And – if there is anything here worth passing on – feel free to share. All I’m doing, essentially, is inviting each one of us to engage The Greatest Story Ever Told on a more personal level, and to become participants in The Greatest Story Ever Lived.

In love, and because of love – DEREK
