More Joy and Beauty that Shines!

– David and Beks with Max in the church garden

Okay, so I have to admit that I’ve been low on the writing content this weekend and high on the number of pictures. But I seriously don’t have the time to write. Also, stories “go cold” in a few days and these are three you don’t want to miss.

First, VBS at WFPC:

– VBS baby!

This week’s “coming out of Covid” Vacation Bible school could not have gone better. Katherine (our director of Children, Youth, and Family ministries) applied all the creativity and passion for ministry she has been gifted with and – along with Amy and her equally enthusiastic team – she led the “Parable Investigators” through a week of faith and discovery. Good stuff.

Outside the CLC, the flower beds are also looking inviting, but it is the people inside our church that make for the most compelling beauty and joy.

ALS Walk:

Then, Saturday morning, we went back to the church campus to walk a few laps with “Randall’s Ralliers.” We were there to raise awareness and money for the fight against ALS. We met lots of good people, talked with The Man himself, and even brought Max along for the experience.

The Park:

Of course David and Beks insisted on an excursion to the park. Geoffrey happily rode along in his stroller and was interested in everything and everyone the entire time.

I have to brag on my grandkids. Not only are they smart and beautiful, but they are all kinds of helpful – along with being cooperative and the best of company to hang out with.

All in all, for this grandaddy, another blessed day – DEREK
