When the entire family comes together

Saturday I took Andrew, Alicia, and Mr. T. into downtown Raleigh to look around the Natural History Museum. My grandson is still a little young to engage with the exhibits, but we had a good time walking around and simply being there. Besides, 90% of the things we have wanted to do as a family are inaccessible due to the heat. So that’s a big win for the museum.

The day was also a win for photography. So this is likely one of the most complete sets of images I will get to post of my “just say no to paparazzi” grandson.

Later, back at Maul Hall, Mr. T. did a little planting with Rebekah, then the Florida crew arrived and the cousins got to meet one another for the very first time. It turns out that four is a lot more than one more than three when it comes to the production of noise!

This morning, Sunday, we will happily fill up a whole pew or more at church. We have a lot more family coming in – from Virginia and Georgia and Florida – so it’s going to be a big day. Stay tuned for more photos to come.

We may live in a crazy world right now, but have a lot to be thankful for; I know we all do. Peace – DEREK
