We don't go to church and live the life of a disciple in order to get to heaven, and we certainly don't have to go to "the right" church to experience salvation! Church is where we gather to celebrate what Jesus has done, it's where we encourage one another to walk with Jesus more closely, it's where we practice Koinonia, and it's where we pool our resources in order to serve God in the world.

What is more important to you – being “right” or the love of Jesus?

The critical questions, then, are pretty-much, "Do I accept the saving grace of Jesus?" and, "Am I going to invite Jesus to be my companion and guide along the way?" Beyond that, the perceived need for consensus has more to do with our own pride, our own insecurity, our own limited perspective, our own desire to supplement God's grace with (always a little more of) our own law.
