praise God from whom all blessings flow…

Praise God from whom all blessings flow; Praise God all creatures here below; Praise God above you heavenly hosts; Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Amen! – Doxology

It’s a deliciously cool morning here in Wake Forest, the hydrangea are still blooming, and our grandchildren are here for a couple of days. That means all is right in my world!

Actually, all is right in my world not so much because the circumstances are so delightful, but because life itself is good. Simply acknowledging the fact that I am loved, and that I have been purposefully created in order to explore and engage all the possibilities that being a child of God opens up, predisposes me to gratitude and also to choose – day-by-day and moment-by-moment – to live like I mean it, because God certainly meant something remarkable when I was imagined and then created!

Life is good. Life lived in active thanksgiving is even better!

Enjoy – DEREK
