Final photos from our vacation #CreationRocks!
“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth… God saw all that he had made, and it was very good. And there was evening, and there was morning….” – Genesis 1
Understatement of the millennia, Hebrew poet who penned The Creation Story; it should be more like “God checked out God’s creation work and – BAM! – it was beyond spectacular!”
So here we go, friends, one more foray into the world of botanical garden beauty (a place where Creator and created have collaborated on a marvelous project) before I write a few overdue posts commenting on the ongoing issues facing our troubled world.
Again, these photographs are from Monday’s trip to Richmond for our granddaughter’s #5 birthday. The flowers are lovely, the landscaping is spectacular, and the images of the children are especially engaging.
If you live anywhere near a botanical garden, please consider a membership. Without public support, these treasures would soon be lost.
Enjoy the photographs, and feel free to share – DEREK

Derek has published seven books in the past decade (you can find them at https://www.amazon.com/Derek-Maul/e/B001JS9WC4), and there’s always something new in the works.
Before becoming a full-time writer, Derek taught public school in Florida for eighteen years, including cutting-edge work with autistic children. He holds bachelor’s degrees in psychology and education from Stetson University and the University of West Florida.
Derek is active in teaching at his church: adult Sunday school, and a men’s Bible study/spiritual formation group. He enjoys the outdoors, traveling, photography, reading, cooking, playing guitar, and golf.
I’m preaching on Genesis 1 this coming Sunday. Thought you might like a preview.
