Behold, I am doing a new thing! Images from a service of ordination
See, I am doing a new thing!
Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? – Isaiah 43:19
I want to share these pictures immediately, so here are the images from Bruce McVey’s ordination and installation service at First Presbyterian Church in Fayetteville, Tennessee. I will write my view of the story later.
From the outside of the church, to the congregation, to the members of the installation commission, to Rebekah’s preaching, to the charges given to the pastor and the congregation, to Bruce serving communion and then offering the benediction.
Rebekah and I ran into old friends and made some new ones. God was most certainly there, blessing this new ministry. As always, we are humbled by the reach of God’s mercy and grace.
I’ll include some other photographs soon, plus a few more words. But for now, here are the images from the service – Derek
