If I were teaching Sunday school…
Note: I’m sorry, friends, but there is no “If I were teaching Sunday school” lesson this weekend. I poured all of my teaching into my visit with the New York Presbyterian men Saturday morning – see yesterday’s post: “My New York Saturday.”
So if you are looking for something to go with your Sunday lesson I’d say, “Go with that.” Seriously, there is a lot to talk about and I think you’d enjoy it.
So enjoy this beautiful weekend, and don’t make the mistake of skipping the opportunity to show up at church for worship. Life is good and we have a lot to be thankful for.
I appreciate the way Paul phrases this essential intention in Colossians:
Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts.Colossians 3:16
