Wrapping up the A-Team visit, and looking to the mountains

I remain confident of this:
    I will see the goodness of the Lord
    in the land of the living.
14 Wait for the Lord;
    be strong and take heart
    and wait for the Lord.

Psalm 27:13-14

Our big couple of weeks featuring non-stop family took a significant turn Monday afternoon when I drove Andrew, Alicia, and Mr. T. to the airport so they could fly to Seattle for the final two weeks of their Michigan, North Carolina, Pacific Northwest adventure. It has been wonderful to be with them, and to have this opportunity to get to know our three-year-old grandson a little more.

Today Rebekah and I head to Maggie Valley to give grandchildren David and Beks their first exposure to the mountains, before taking them home to Orlando. We’re going to enjoy another exciting week.

It’s going to be a busy few hours getting ready to go, so I will skip directly to the photos.

Thanks, Andrew and Alicia, for making the monumental effort to make this happen. We are so grateful for the time we spent together here in Wake Forest. Praying that the balance of your tour will be amazing, and even (it could happen…) a little restful.

Peace – DEREK
