Deep calls to deep
Psalm 42:7
in the roar of your waterfalls;
all your waves and breakers
have swept over me.
In my defense, we are renting a cottage here at “Camber Sands”. So you have to expect a few photographs from the beautiful coastline here in East Sussex.
But this is likely the last set from these “real time” blog posts. I have a tone more photos on my Nikon DSLR that I won’t even look at till we return to North Carolina. So I expect there will be more to share then.
This post comes from a late-afternoon walk before cooking supper. I think what amazes me is how unique the sky is ever time I return. The shoreline here beckons, and I cannot stay away.
This trek – through the park, over the dunes, along the beach, then back by another series of paths – has become a spiritual devotional exercise for me. There it is, this amazing Good Earth that speaks so powerfully and in so many varied ways, and I cannot help but give thanks.
Open my eyes, Lord, that I may see all the goodness and the glory you wish to share with me – DEREK

Thank you, Ann. Jesus is always asking if our eyes are open. Photography is all about seeing with new eyes (devotional writing too!)
