Bonus “video-post” – Celebrating a Gorgeous North Carolina Saturday!

God has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.

Ecclesiastes 3:11

I don’t often post twice in one day, but I just returned from an afternoon walk with Max and I have to share what a spectacular afternoon this is!

As we were walking I remembered how much so many folk enjoyed the video shorts from England. So here are a couple from this afternoon. No expert cinematography, just an honest response to how grateful I am for such a beautiful day.

(The picture to the right is me calling Rebekah on FaceTime to share my enthusiasm!)

The first video begins with Max, outside my mum’s mailbox. Then it pans across both properties and back to the dog.

I took the second one in Tyler Run Park.

Our neighborhood park is not exactly picturesque at this time of the year! Instead, what I’m trying to capture is the clarity and the “Carolina Blue” of the sky, the fresh air, and the rare privilege of living somewhere with sidewalks alongside the streets and a park 150 yards from our house.

We are blessed to be here in so many ways. A lovely neighborhood in an idyllic community in one of the most livable states in the U.S.A.

This morning’s post about men’s ministry was serious and wordy. This one is a simple “thank you” for life.

Grateful – DEREK
