My Mum and Dad’s House Hits the Market Today

Jesus has been found worthy of greater honor than Moses, just as the builder of a house has greater honor than the house itself. For every house is built by someone, but God is the builder of everything.

John Akerman puts in the sign!

Today, after many weeks of hard work, we are finally ready to put my parents’ house on the market.

It’s been a long haul, taking care of so many details, and then cleaning and painting until we felt everything was ready – is ready – for a new owner to take a tour, fall in love with the place, make a good offer, and then move in without delay.

But we are satisfied, and the market is in a good place, and we have a friend – John Akerman Realty – who is – as he described – a “boutique” realtor, meaning he only takes particularly interesting listings.

And this house – which is anything but cookie-cutter – is perfectly suited to John’s niche in the world of real estate.

Take a look around via this set of photos (when you work this hard on something you want to share). I was able to do the photography for the listing, so I can recommend the tour. Oh, and pray that the right people come along to be our new neighbors. This really is a lovely community.

Peace and blessings – always – DEREK

  3. I can’t imagine that your parents home won’t sell quickly, it looks beautiful
(thanks to hours/days/months of hard work on your part) and is in such a great neighborhood. Hoping that you inherit wonderful next door neighbors!

  4. I’m so sorry that I never got to visit them in this house. However I have so many happy memories of their other homes, way back to their flat on the seafront in Folkstone in 1952!! xx

  5. I have just discovered your blog. I’m going to tell my friends at HMPC about this.
This is such a blessing to me.
