This, friends and readers, is one big boat! Okay, I acknowledge that I need to use the word “ship”! I know this from my Navy friends. Regardless, the Rotterdam is beyond huge.

A full third of a mile around the “promenade deck.” More than 4,000 passengers. Lots of horsepower churning up the seas.

We steamed out of Port Everglades on time, on a beautiful clear afternoon, then headed southeast into the deep ocean.

Right now we’re parked just off the Bahamas while people do Bahama stuff on and around the island.

Not us – we’re just chilling! It could be the theme for the cruise!
