
I am here to testify that every single sunrise is unique, that every passing cloud has its own look, that every rolling wave is worthy of note, and that even a “day at sea” offers new views every few minutes.
We left the Bahamas late Monday, then worked our way into the Caribbean Sea by squeezing between Cuba on one side and Hispaniola on the other.

We sailed close enough for me to get my first look at both Cuba and Haiti, then continued full steam ahead and into the lowest latitudes of my travels to date.
Most fun by far was the afternoon art auction. it is always inspiring to be the presence of real masterworks, and especially to learn more about the great artists and their techniques.
Rebekah – who took a lot of Art History in college – has always been a fan of art. We try not to miss museums and traveling exhibitions, and when we’re out of town we always seem to find some amazing stuff!.

Wherever we are, you can be sure to find us engrossed in some gallery, our noses deep in the interpretive guides.
Or, maybe standing on the deck, leaning on the rail and looking deep into the night sky at a beautiful moon, splashing shards of fragmented moonlight on the blue-black waters below.

FYI this time last year I was on a cruise and learned that Peter Max has stopped painting due to illness that elderly get. Sad that his brain is in disrepair.
Very sad. I love his work!
