If you are one of my regular readers you will have noticed there was no “Month in Review” post at the end of October. Rebekah and I are home now and it’s well into November, so while I’m skipping the usual photo roundup I will comment on what turned out to be an unusual 31 days.

We were gone, it turned out, most of the month!
First, the serendipitous three day beach retreat on Emerald Isle.
Then the whirlwind five days driving to Orlando to celebrate David’s 12th birthday and batter ourselves on various roller coasters at Universal Studios.
Finally, two-weeks for the just completed Holland America cruise! There will more to read about our travels once I download the Nikon photos and stop trying to write one-fingered on my phone!
So now we have a little while to catch our breath, to embrace the cool fall weather, and to get somewhat organized before our next great adventure (details coming soon!).
For this morning, I’m looking forward to picking up Max, and then beginning my recovery process in response to twelve days of caloric excess!
But I will say the food was amazing, and every calorie absolutely worth consuming!
It is Saturday, November 4, and I think I may need to post twice a day for a while, just to catch up!
Peace and love from both of us – DEREK
