He spreads the snow like wool
and scatters the frost like ashes. – Psalm 147:16
So, yes, I had some serious content to share this morning… But that can wait because we had snow!
That’s right, after several attempts, and a couple of false alarms (light snow forecasts that still led to people hoarding all the milk, bread and eggs for themselves), our part of North Carolina finally has just enough snow for some classic photographs.
Because that’s all we really want, isn’t it? A nice photo-op followed by a quick thaw then we will be good to go.
Tarboro is one of those small towns that is picturesque anyway. Just add a couple of inches of the white fluffy stuff and we’re ready for the cover of Our State Magazine.
So here are my shots, a few from Tuesday evening then a handful from this morning. Enjoy this for a few minutes, then reflect on what the following scripture asks of you both as a follower of Jesus and a citizen of this nation we call home.
He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God. – Micah 6:8
These photos will run, in order, from Tuesday evening through Wednesday morning… Enjoy!

You should submit some of these to Our State! Snow in eastern NC is always newsworthy and this was a particularly pretty snowfall.
Thanks! I may do that!
