Tuesday was – by design – a quiet day. We decided to take it easy then do the Okracoke excursion today (Wednesday).

So we started out slow with cappuccinos at a quirky coffee venue called Alien Java. The place was all about the yoga Hippie artsy granola vibe, but the coffee was good.

It was good to have a slow day together. Max enjoyed another walk on the beach and then Rebekah and I treated ourselves to dinner at the Hatteras Sol Waterside Grill.

The restaurant is at an amazing location on a marina close by the ferry landing and the sunset was, once again, spectacular.

And that, other than the pictures, is all I have for today. Peace and more peace… because this world sure does need some – DEREK
