Out of his fullness we have all received grace in place of grace already given. For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. – John 1:16-17

Christmas is the day that our need meets God’s gift! In consequence, rather than fear truth, we can allow it to remind us of our need for grace. Because of Jesus, truth and grace come as a package deal.

The symbolism of these photographs from the end of Christmas Eve worship could not be more clear. The light of Jesus does not just come with us, it stands as an invitation to everyone who sees it.

This is not just a Christmas gift for us; we are God’s Christmas gift to the world!
