I almost forgot to share my traditional “month in photos” post. May was really good for photographs because we were on the road traveling as well as enjoying springtime at home in Tarboro.
As you scroll through, take pause to consider the following:
- The beauty of creation.
- The importance of understanding history.
- The deep bond we have with friends.
- The love of family.
- The hope and the promise of new life.
- Care for and stewardship of creation.
- How much we appreciate our community.
- The grace and generosity of good people.
- Gratitude for all the good things we enjoy.
- The blessings of freedom.
Thirty-one days. Far too much meaning and joy to cover in just 31 images. Grateful all the same – DEREK

I have several questions. Why aren’t we asked to pray for God, who suffers with and for us? And are we in God heart ? Thank you.
Good questions, Susan. I think we pray for God all the time – inasmuch as we love God and care for God. Our worship and our devotion is in a sense prayer not just to God but for and on behalf of God. And, yes, I believe we are deep “inside” God’s heart. One aspect of God that I love is the impossibility of our words and thoughts to describe or fully understand the mystery. I will be asking a lot of questions and clarifications in eternity!
