“I like big mutts and I cannot lie…”
Thursday afternoon – and this turned out to be really great timing considering the sweltering heatwave that has hit for the weekend – I drove Mr. Max over to his friend Kayleigh’s place for his beginning of the summer haircut and grooming.
Kayleigh always does a great job, but this time she really raised the bar. We had agreed that Max needed more than his usual trim, and she managed to get the job done without compromising Max’s extra-cool and sophisticated style in the process.
At twelve years of age and over 100 pounds, Max looks – in my opinion – really great. And I hope the shorter haircut will help him deal with the excessive heat.
I am sure I must say this a lot, but I can’t get over how blessed we are to have such a beautiful, loving and sweet-natured dog as Max. But, there again, just about everything about our life here feels like it has been lifted from some Norman Rockwell painting.
