Are we going to share this Good News by living full, rich, invitational lives? Or are we going to demonstrate the ineffectuality of faith, and give the world one more reason to turn away?

Every week a different theme, but always growing out of our core mission statement: “Rooted in Christ; Growing together in Faith; Reaching out to others.” July 2, Rebekah preached an amazing sermon …
The amount of talent we have at our church is phenomenal. The children’s ministry team could have their own television show they’re that entertaining!
I believe church is good for the soul, and – just as importantly – I believe your soul is good for the church.
So we have some new frames on order for Rebekah, and some new lenses too. They’re not cheap, you know… but neither is grace, or mercy, or love, or discipleship, or new eyes – most especially not the Jesus quality of seeing.
I’m all for the separation of church and state, and I believe America needs to be governed by people of all perspectives and persuasions when it comes to faith, but there is absolutely no substitute for virtue, and character, and integrity, and honesty, and trustworthiness, and incorruptibility… and – to use an extraordinarily powerful word that doesn’t get much mileage nowadays – uprightness.
