hope, and the beginning of Advent

Today I have a simple message for this space. The meme is the scripture I used in yesterday’s post (“When the message of Jesus gets loose”), pasted onto the photo I captured heading in to my Saturday morning men’s Bible study.
The scripture is clear. Too many people live in darkness, and in the shadow of death, and fear, and judgment. But Jesus offers life, and light, and love, and enough grace to cover everything that separates us from God.
So why not take Jesus up on his wide open invitation? Why not head to church this first Sunday of Advent, place one foot in front of the other, and begin your journey back to the light?
