Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. – 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
So I finally got to meet the new puppy. No, don’t get the wrong idea, this is not our new puppy. This deliciously adorable pouch belongs to the grandchildren. Or, more accurately, David and Beks belong to the dog.
So here is the first image for “Five Photo Friday.” Me in a Wendy’s parking lot with Kylo.
Picture number two (in the gallery, below) features all three puppies, together.
Next up is David and Beks with their great-grandparents. I have said before how amazing it is to have both of my parents living next door, with a combined age of almost 179.
Well, more wonderful still is the fact that David and Beks have this unique opportunity to know their great-grandparents well enough to remember them. It’s really a rare privilege.
I’m especially looking forward to the “Four Maul generations” photo-op that will roll around this Christmas when the latest Maul-child flies in from Germany.
The picture I want to share would actually be a video, featuring some of the young people from our church high school youth group. They sang “Happy Birthday” to Rebekah and they did it from the top of Lookout Mountain near Montreat, bright and early at 8:30 in the morning.
Youth director Janet Briley Facetimed the event, panning around the spectacular 360-degree view while the youth filled the mountains with singing.
But I will settle for this wonderful shot – thanks Janet – from a few minutes later.
I will let the quirky bird photo speak for itself. A bag of songbird seed every couple of weeks and in return they put on a show every single day.
There is always so much to celebrate, so much to be grateful for, and so many reasons to “Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances…”
