I have too much to share today, so Friday will be broken down into two posts. First, a classic, short, “Four Photo Friday.” Then, maybe this afternoon, a reflection on the fabulous WFPC deacons’ party we attended Thursday evening.

This post is a “both ends of the spectrum” photo collection.

It has been a difficult few weeks for my parents, so I was happy to be able to get dad outside for a (very short) walk. I can’t say enough how wonderful Max is with them. He walks with my mother, and at dad’s exact pace. When he gets bored he just sits and waits. He actually weighs a good fifteen pounds more than mum but he never pulls her at all.

And Wednesday, in a beautiful act of community and love, pastor John and Dan Root (Dan is mum and dad’s deacon) came by and brought communion to my parents.

Then down in South Florida, the Zoo Miami passes are working out beautifully. There is nothing better than a happy family at the zoo, especially when there is a lot of water to play around.
