A splash of fall color in North Carolina!

the Lord has done this,
    and it is marvelous in our eyes.
 The Lord has done it this very day;
    let us rejoice today and be glad.

Psalm 118:23-24
– This will be my signature photo for a while!

Today’s post features just the one photograph, taken around 7:30 this morning. Why just one? Well, it’s all I need!

Florida was great. Thanksgiving was amazing (more on Craig and Naomi’s generous hospitality in another post). Orlando is a fun city. Seeing the waterfront at Sarasota was inspirational. But now we’re home in Wake Forest and the view across the front garden reminds me of how creative God’s color palate can be!

Yesterday (Sunday) Rebekah and I surpassed the tedious 12-hour drive down by being on the road 13 hours. That’s just a little over 600 miles taking 13 hours of driving – with no breaks other than gas and grabbing some fast (and terrible) food!

So it is good to open our eyes this morning and see that “the Lord has done this, and it is marvelous in our eyes. The Lord has done it this very day; let us rejoice and be glad!”

Look for more from Thanksgiving coming up soon. Peace and love – DEREK
