“I give you a new commandment: Love each other. Just as I have loved you, so you also must love each other. This is how everyone will know that you are my disciples, when you love each other.”
John 13:34-35
This is the third and final post from Tuesday’s beautiful gathering of saints known as a “Meeting of Presbytery” (New Hope).
Wednesday I talked about the meeting itself. Yesterday I featured the remarkable architecture of the New Bern Presbyterian Church. Today my focus is the people.
What I hope to achieve – other than documenting the proceedings of the day – is to capture images that represent the life, the belief, the vitality, the love, the joy, the light, and the grace that characterizes (that should always characterize) the way people of faith interact when they are about the business of the Kingdom of God.
Jesus said, “This is how everyone will know that you are my disciples, when you love one another!”
Just look at how beautiful these people are!
In love, and because of love – DEREK
- People arriving;
- people being introduced,
- people at worship,
- people leading worship,
- people doing the business of the day together,
- people at the end of the gathering…
