Maybe this is hyperbole, maybe it’s not. But I am going to say it anyway. This past month – May 2024 – could be unprecedented in terms of the scope and variety of great photographs.

“Best ever” or not, it is definitely worth taking a few moments to scroll through the gallery below. The collection contains some iconic images, representing not only the remarkable beauty of the month of May but also the amazing variety of experiences Rebekah and I continue to enjoy.

To explain my enthusiasm, I have to reference the following remarkable facts:

• Life is so very good;
• Rebekah and I feel remarkably blessed to be enjoying this adventure together;
• This town, Tarboro, is such a cool place filled with so many good people;
• The life we launched together almost 45 years ago continues to get more interesting and more wonderful – often in surprising ways;
• Every time we reinvent ourselves we grow in creativity and in faith and in courage;
• We both believe that we live in God’s redemptive grace of promise and possibility…
