The good news is that we checked into our hotel then were immediately upgraded to a 44th floor suite overlooking both the American and the Canadian waterfalls.

The not so good news is the WiFi hardly makes it this high into the stratosphere (we’re at an estimated 500 ft.)! So nothing is transferring over to my computer (via the cloud) and all I can do is upload a couple of images – unedited – direct from my phone.

But this much I can say: our suite is spectacular, and we also took the children to an over-the-top amazing Italian restaurant.

Then we saw fireworks over the falls. I will share more – pictures and words – about everything later, after I can access my photographs. But for now, I will concluded with this confession.

During dinner I paused to ask the blessing and I considered the phenomenal goodness and grace of this trip, the luxurious abundance of our accommodations and the extravagant plenty of the meal we were about to receive… and I looked at David and Beks – our beautiful grandchildren – and I simply could not continue; I started to leak around the eyes. But it was all good. Rebekah had to finish the prayer.

I am too much of a softie.
