How Lovely is Your Dwelling Place

– HMPC from the grounds

How lovely is your dwelling place,
    Lord Almighty!
 My soul yearns, even faints,
for the courts of the Lord – Psalm 84

– taking photos Thursday

A couple of days ago I shared a post about our church and the Garden Club award. I pointed out how having a beautiful, invitational facility that is in the heart of the town, committed to the community for the long haul is very much mission, in every sense of the word “Award Reveals One More Layer…”

I thought I was done. But then my friend Edward asked for a few more photos for a magazine feature, so I spent an hour walking around with my Nikon, looking for views that do a great job of telling a more complete story about our grounds, a story that features community spirit, the Old Town Cemetery, restoration, generosity, a lovely memorial garden, urban green space and more.

I liked the results enough that I am going to share a few of them for my Saturday morning post.

The timing is good because it is the weekend, and the very best way to experience the complete beauty of HMPC (garden, architecture and spirit) is to be here in person, meaning I’d love to see you join us for worship at 10:00!

You can come early for my class too, at 9:00. We are talking about what it means to be a pilgrim, a pilgrim making a little progress.

Enjoy the photographs. Then enjoy being with us Sunday morning. Rebekah is preaching on The Lord’s Prayer.
