Once in a while it’s good practice to remind myself of why I post here in this space almost every day, and also some of the guidelines that help define recurring themes such as today’s “Photo Friday.”

In all things – regardless of if the day’s post is mostly about the writing or driven more by the images – it is my intention to inspire and to encourage. I want this blog to put the beauty and the importance of the Good News Story clearly in the frame, and I am not shy about my conviction that every last one of us would benefit from a more intentional commitment to following the Way of Jesus.

Beyond that, I try to make the writing interesting, the stories engaging and the photographs images that underline the central idea. This blog space is, essentially, my journal and – hopefully – something that invites all of us into the bigger story, the Good News story that runs in the background.

“Photo Friday” gives me the opportunity to post pictures that A) tell the story of the week, B) had not made it into a previous post, and C) stand on their own merit as pictures worth sharing.
