Morning has broken (“this” unique and wonderful morning)

– more progress on Saint Patrick

Morning has broken like the first morning
Blackbird has spoken like the first bird
Praise for the singing, praise for the morning
Praise for them springing fresh from the world – Eleanor Farjeon

The “week in photos” starts back behind our almost completed Saint Patrick Street home and ends up six hundred sixty miles down I-95 and across I-4 in Winter Garden (via our favorite lunch place in Florence South Carolina).

In between you will find a beautiful family wedding from Sunday afternoon, and the Town Common early in the day, looking down our favorite street while the morning sky makes lovely patterns over Tarboro’s historic district.

There are many ways to appreciate the beauty in this world. One is to begin each morning by simply asking God to show you something during the day, and then following up by actually paying attention.

Sometimes the secret to contentment is not hoping – or even believing -that everything will turn out all right later, at some point in the future, but in opening ourselves to this season, this week, this day… this unique and irreplaceable moment.

This moment is where we happen to live. So let’s live it like we mean it – DEREK
