There are so many reasons it is good to start the day early.

Waking up with the sun helps me put things in perspective, it helps me get my thoughts and my spirit on track, and it gives me enough time for a good walk with Max where I can introduce some much needed fresh air to my musty brain.

Yesterday (Monday) the morning sky made me glad I was up a few minutes before sunrise, so we could hike down to the river in time to watch the early light spill over the horizon.

Not only was the sky beautiful, it is also good to see a little more water back in the river after such a long dry spell, as well as to note the progress being made on the new riverfront access.
