Not set apart from the world, but set loose in it! #Coffee&Scripture

Truly my soul finds rest in God;
my salvation comes from him.
Truly he is my rock and my salvation;
he is my fortress, I will never be shaken. – Psalm 62:1-2
“Salvation” is a big word in the scriptures, Old Testament and New Testament both. What it means, essentially, is to be caught up in Team God. Salvation isn’t being rescued so much as where we find our identification. It’s not about later but about now. It is becoming a participant in what God is up to.
The invitation that Jesus offers is to live into this salvation he has secured, to join in with God’s initiatives of grace and mercy. It is not so much that God sets us apart from the world as sets us loose in it!
That is a great concept! God does not set us apart from the world but sets us loose in it!
I don’t think there is anymore I need to say this morning. Grace, peace, and the courage to live into our salvation with energy and joy!
