All I have to share today is this priceless video (below) featuring Rebekah’s remarks at the end of her retirement celebration. The event should have been live-streamed, but evidently there were technical issues. Fortunately I grabbed my phone and was able to make a fairly clear recording.
Rebekah covers a lot of ground (mostly because her notes ended up being locked in her office!). But I think the “coming from her heart” place struck just the right tone.

Of course, we know that God is already doing something new. We just have to pay attention, get out of God’s way, and get on board. Life is always such a Great Adventure!

I’m thankful I found this tonight I love Rebecca and can only imagine the hole her absence left at Wake Forest. She is unique in speaking God’s truth in her own words. She is absolutely fearless in letting her sense of humor surface regularly and largely. Rebecca is REAL. To see her is to know her. To know her is to join in her sincere joy and truth serving God.
