Big deep breath. Here we go. Take it in. Let it out. And another. Yes. I can almost taste the sweetness. Mountain air is so good, and so healing, and so restorative.

Rebekah and I have landed here in the general area of Sylva, near Maggie Valley, high up and very remote. Our friends Gayle and John have been renting this house for years, and they generously invited us to decompress for a few days.

It is already working.

So this morning, trying not to get sucked into a lot of writing, here are a few photos just to set the context.
