Look at how good and pleasing it is
Psalm 133:1
when families live together as one!
Sunday was another day of driving, but much less intense. We started with a real serendipity, getting to meet up with Rebekah’s uncle George and going to worship together at the Delaware Presbyterian Church.
George – who is the youngest of the five boys brought into the world by Rebekah’s Alexander grandparents, Mary and Reed – served as a Presbyterian minister, a prison chaplain, and then superintendent of a Federal Penitentiary in Ohio.
We had a long lunch together and were still deep into family storytelling when it was time for us to get back on the road for Midland.
Glad Reunion!
What a treat to see Andrew, Alicia, and Mr. T. “T” will be four in August and he is full with life and enthusiasm and the kind of energy that is both physical and emotional. He is, in a word, unstoppable.
We love the choice of neighborhood for their U.S. home base. Midland is a lovely town, filled up with the kind of quiet streets where people are serious about taking good care of their property.
We have a week here, and plan to make the most of the time with family and at the same time do some exploring – all the while resting as much as possible.
Thanks for being along for the ride. Peace and love – DEREK
