When love sits on the deck and drinks coffee

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.

1 Corinthians 13:4-8
– cool fall morning on the deck

When life is difficult, and overwhelming, and when there is grief, and loss, and when even the most well-conceived plans are frustrated, and when you can’t sleep, and when it is difficult to hold on to the positive even when you know how blessed you are (and so you feel guilty about feeling bad – yes, I know how ridiculous that sounds)…

…Then love sits on the deck on a cool fall morning, wrapped in a blanket, and drinks coffee with you.

Love is patient, love is kind…

Thanks, Rebekah. That’s all. I am blessed – DEREK

  1. Derek, as you grieve the loss of your mother’s passing, may you feel the comfort of the Lord, holding you close in his arms. His love, collects all your tears, and he weeps with you. May the God of all comfort, comfort you. He gives you strength, moment by moment. Prayers and peace!
