Getting settled and more…

– the Episcopal churchyard up the street

Perhaps home is not a place but simply an irrevocable condition.

My original plan was to have our home wi-fi up and running by Wednesday noon. But of course this is an old house… and old homes have old trees… and old trees have limbs resting on wiring and branches wrapped around them.

So the wi-fi installer guy said “No can do” and went on his way. Which translated into tree work with an extendable pole saw and a ladder for me and my new friend David.

We did a pretty good job but I am still typing on a phone with one finger and the good photos are piling up.

So today’s “Here we are in Tarboro” post is short on content and simply features a few photos from around this interesting town.

Meanwhile, Rebekah is taking care of all the detail work associated with a new job, settling in to the office, planning Advent worship, and talking to oodles of people. Between us we are tired but very much pleased to be here.

And… hopefully… tomorrow there will be functioning Internet here at Maul-Hall Tarboro – I am kind of stuck till we get squared away.

Peace and blessings- DEREK
