The moon on the breast of the new-fallen snow
Gave the luster of mid-day to objects below – Clement Moore
Well it has been a long time since I have seen this much snow in one winter so we might as well enjoy all the pictures we can!
I particularly appreciate the way the snow multiplies the small amount of light and it bounces all over, as if whatever I am trying to capture in the frame is generating its own illumination.
There is a unique stillness and silence that falls over the nighttime in the snow. So here are just a few images between East Saint James and the Common.
Enjoy… then come back later in the day because I have Part 3 – photographs from my morning walk – that I will be sharing soon.
Peace, love and the celebration of all the beauty around us – DEREK
