So this happened yesterday (woot woot!)

– Maul Hall –

“Blessed shall you be when you come in, and blessed shall you be when you go out.” – Deuteronomy 28:6

– Closed! At the lawyer’s office!

Monday afternoon, after being involved with this project since the beginning of May 2024, all the final details fell into place and we were able to close on our new home on Saint Patrick Street!

Just a short walk up Saint James Street to the lawyer’s office. Just a short walk back to Saint Patrick Street. We walked one way with anticipation and excitement; we walked the other the owners of an amazing new home.

– first meal in our kitchen!

Immediately, we carried over our first piece of art, then we came back with dinner and a couple of stools to baptize the kitchen with our first meal. And finally, in the evening, we laid the first rug in the dining room.

That’s when we caught the previous owner (the developer and our contractor) Aaron, putting down a new welcome mat for us, featuring the Deuteronomy scripture above. The words are the perfect prayer for us, sentiment for the home and complement to the front porch.

Blessed are you coming in; blessed are you going out.

Today the movers are bringing in the heavy stuff. Then we will begin the process of clearing out our current address.

We are so blessed, so grateful and so full with promise for the future – DEREK
