Good food rounds out a great anniversary day!

“One cannot think well, love well, sleep well, if one has not dined well.” – Virginia Woolf.

Rebekah and I are absolutely satisfied with our move to Tarboro. We have happily exchanged the busyness and congestion of the Raleigh metro area for the more evenly paced atmosphere of Edgecombe County.

One thing I do miss, however, is the accessibility, the scope and the variety of food choices in and around The Triangle. We are definitely blessed here in Tarboro with On the Square, but otherwise we have to venture far and wide for great restaurants.

So I was excited to learn – when planning our anniversary dinner – that a new Cape Fear Seafood Company location has opened in Greenville.

– New Bedford Scallops

Little by little we are discovering where to eat and Greenville is fast becoming our go-to destination (I am open, by the way, to recommendations). Thus far we have enjoyed Native Fine Diner, Nino’s Cucina Italiana, Christy’s Euro Pub, Basil’s and now Cape Fear Seafood Company.

For our anniversary dinner we shared a wonderful calamari appetizer, Rebekah ordered the grilled Wahoo, I enjoyed New Bedford Scallops, we both had risotto and asparagus, then we shared an excellent Keylime pie for dessert.

So, kudos to Cape Fear Seafood for helping us to enjoy what turned out to be a great day all around.

Rebekah and I are blessed in every way – DEREK

  1. Did not see BBQ listed. That is the real food of eastern Carolina — before getting to the home o the seafood.
