Day by day continuing with one mind in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they were taking their meals together with gladness and sincerity of heart,
Acts 2:46
Eventually the mountain trip with our grandchildren had to come to an end, and we had David and Beks back home in Orlando by mid-afternoon Sunday. Naomi and Craig are still in the process of unpacking and moving in, but it’s obvious they have landed on their feet in the new neighborhood. It’s a beautiful home, with a lovely layout, lots of space, and just a short – traffic free – walk to the elementary school nearby.
We had hardly been in Orlando more than an hour or so when the house was christened with a big family party.
Rebekah’s brothers Joe and Jesse both came, along with spouses Cheryl and Heather, plus our nieces – Jordan and Sarah, along with our nephew Seth, and also Grand-Myrt’s sister Velva. With 14 people around the table, plus Geoffrey, we had noise and stories and more.
Naomi outdid herself with a scrumptious feast, and the house felt well and truly baptized with love.
I will try to document the Orlando experience with some photographs today, but in the meanwhile here are some images from yesterday.
- Beautiful sleeping Beks
- Glad reunion with Naomi and Geoffrey
- The house on White Dogwood
- Naomi always sets a beautiful table

Peace, and more peace – DEREK
