When waterfalls become an immersion experience!

– David exploring Hooker Falls

Deep calls to deep
    in the roar of your waterfalls;
all your waves and breakers
    have swept over me.

Psalm 42:7
– the kids playing in the falls

If I had to pick one aspect of the mountains the grandkids loved the most it would have to be the waterfalls. Especially the day we dedicated to climbing around the rocks, getting in the water, splashing and swimming and playing and more.

They loved the experience of observing Dry Falls, but had been itching all week to actually get interactive for the water. So we did some research and found the Dupont State Recreational Forest. I already shared a few iPhone photos last week, but this set are all from the Nikon DSLR. Take a moment to scroll through and I can guarantee a “wow” or two – or more.

In fact, there are so many I’ll limit this post to “Hooker Falls” then save “Triple Falls” for later.

Such a beautiful world. Such a privilege to live here. – DEREK
